Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at soarapostolic@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

  1. Well, it’s biblical. That doesn’t mean it's the only model that can be done, but when you study the church of the New Testament, its evident that the majority of churches met in peoples homes.
  2. Community is inevitable. Building personal relationships requires consistent communication and interaction. One way the New Testament Church did this was by routinely eating meals together. We model this by incorporating a meal after every church gathering. This creates opportunities for organic relationships to be formed and nurtured.
  3. Encourages engagement. In an intimate atmosphere people are more inclined to interact with one another because they don’t feel the normal resistance many experience in a larger church setting. This safe space allows opportunities  to open up, share, ask questions and be equipped for ministry while also encouraging deeper communion with the Holy Spirit.

Find out what a typical house church meeting will look like

In general, our house churches meetings include the following activities. The service usually lasts 90 minutes. Afterwards, we eat a meal together as a church. In all, our meeting lasts for a total of around 2.5 hours. We currently are meeting at 4:30pm on Sunday.

  1. Worship – A playlist glorifying God to sing along too.
  2. Teaching – The word that God has given will be shared
  3. Open Discussion – This is a time to discuss takeaways from the teaching as well as provide a space for anyone to bring up questions, share a testimony or something the Lord has been teaching them.
  4. Prayer – We take time to pray for each others’ needs and to listen for God to speak.
  5. Lord’s Supper – We close with a meal together as a church as was commanded by our Lord.
